        The United States has been loosing its competitive edge in Innovation. Today’s curriculum has limited time for open-ended problem-solving experiences where there is no correct textbook answer. Downshift understands and fills this space with immersive learning where getting frustrated, reaching beyond the textbook, and innovating successful solutions is encouraged. 

        Downshift Into STEM. It is an educational outreach company which brings S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education to schools around the country while also familiarizing students with the automotive sport of Formula1 Racing. The students in our program learn the basics of running a Formula1 Team and eventually compete in a race with other teams around the country and world.

Director of Event Planning

Job Description:

• The Director of Event Planning must showcase skills in programming, designing and staging of events that run smoothly and be able to incorporate an enjoyable, educational experience for those participating and volunteering.

• Being able to showcase creative and unique ideas to ensure positive outcomes of events

• Knowledgeable in programming and being able to organize events step by step from start to finish.

• Provide organized outlines to participants about venue, nearby hotels, restaurants and leisure activities as well as being able to work with participants in order to ensure comfortable stay.

• Being able to work well under pressure 

• Participates in every project, presentation as well as events

• Capable of traveling

• Recommended Bachelors of Science or Arts in Event Planning or must be working on undergraduate degree at established University in Event Coordination 

• Must have valid drivers license and passport

• Must pass background check
